  • Q: What does "collective impact" mean?

    • A: Collective impact refers to the commitment of a group of several stakeholders from different sectors to a common agenda for solving a specific social problem.

  • Q: Do you offer programs and services? 

    • A: We have an active upskilling pilot aimed at helping our Latino workforce transition from their current job to higher-skilled, higher-paying and more in-demand careers.  For more information click HERE.  We  help positively impact neighborhoods by supporting emerging Latino real estate developers with financial support for projects.  For more information, click HERE.  We regularly convene community to identify, organize around key issues and provide infrastructure and process to that effort. We believe in a strong Community Based Organization ecosystem and are committed to supporting. growing, or incubating community needed programs and services with them. 

  • Q: What is the Hispanic Well-Being Index?

    • A: The Hispanic Well-Being Index is something that we designed to be able to compare how Latinos in Milwaukee were faring versus Latinos elsewhere in the United States, and to be able to identify “top performing” Latino communities.  We track the outcome of 40 different variables regarding our Latino community in the area of income, wealth, education, and health, and compare that to the outcomes for the 50 largest metros in the U.S. The Index tells us how Milwaukee Latinos compare to Latinos elsewhere.  We currently are 45 out of 50 overall.

  • Q: How can I volunteer/engage with the organization?

    • A: Please reach out and email us!  If you are passionate about improving outcomes for our Latino community, you can get involved with sharing information, voter turnout efforts, upskilling our workforce, and help creating an accurate narrative. 

  • Q: How can I donate to the organization?

    • A: You can find a “Donate” button at the bottom of our website.  Your donations are tax deductible. Donations go to support the operations of he organization, as well as supporting our events such as the Hispanic Heritage Month kick off and the URBANO conference, our pilot upskilling program and our research.

  •  Q: How can my organization collaborate with the Hispanic Collective Impact Nonprofit?

    • A: We are always looking for new partners to share our information with and understand if formal collaboration is a good fit. Please send us an email and we will connect to get an introductory meeting scheduled.

  • Q: How do you measure the impact of your organization?

    • A: We believe in grounding our work and measuring our success in data.  We are focused on seeing improvements in outcomes that we track and seeing improvement in our ranking versus other cities.  We track these improvements to guide our work and lead us to investments that can really make a impact.
